Meet Our Choral Scholars!
Choral Scholars are music students who serve as section leaders for our parish
choir and have additional responsibilities within the music ministry at Church of Our
Saviour, such as assisting with children’s choirs or providing additional musical leadership
to the 8am service. We are blessed to have five choral scholars this year. This
year, we are also fortunate to have an organ scholar who will be studying organ with
Matthew while accompanying the parish choir in rehearsals and services and occasionally
playing portions of the 10:30 AM service.
Our returning choral scholars are…
Anesha Hines, a senior vocal performance major at JU who aspires to be an
opera singer overseas.
Leanne Gullo, a senior music education major at JU who is preparing to be a high
school choral director.
Bryan Hayes, a junior classical voice/jazz vocal performance double major at UNF.
Our new choral scholars is…
Jordan Rutter, a junior vocal performance major at UNF and Jacksonville native.
Our organ scholar is…
Casey Ayers, a mobile app designer and entrepreneur who also happens to be a
very talented pianist.
This valuable ministry is made possible through the Mille Witt Memorial Music Fund.
This fund will need to be replenished in order to continue our choral scholar and organ
scholar program. To support this ministry, please place “Mille Witt Memorial Music
Fund” in the memo line of a check or speak to Matthew for more information.
