Alicia Wood

Nursery Manager

I started working in the nursery at Church of Our Saviour in 2002 after a friend told me that they were hiring.  I have been working in the nursery ever since.  I love working with the children and watching them grow.  Church of Our Saviour is such a tight knit family and I feel truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful church family.  I have also volunteered each year for Vacation Bible School and this will be my second year as the preschool teacher.

I live in Mandarin and love the beauty of the area.  I attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Bishop Kenny High School.  I graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Secondary Biology Education.  I teach high school biology and environmental science in Clay County at Oakleaf High School.  I enjoy teaching 10th and 11th graders and helping them realize that the can learn something new and have fun at the same time.  I love the outdoors, photography, and traveling.  I hope to travel to Alaska and Hawaii, along with many other countries around the world.
